The Greensboro Public Library is designated as
the Guilford County Public Library by the State of North Carolina.
Funding for the Greensboro Public Library comes from:
City of Greensboro,
Guilford County,
North Carolina General Assembly.
City, County and State governments are making difficult budget decisions now! Help them understand how vital the Greensboro Public Library is to our community. It is a vital resource for all county and city residents.
Guilford County funds the Library
at a level below the percentage of use
by county residents.
Contact the Guilford County Commissioners and ask them to fund libraries at the rate of usage by county residents (23 %). Write a letter. Make a phone call. Send an E-mail. Speak to your commissioner in person. Contact information: www.co.guilford.nc.us/commissioners or call 641-7565.
Write a letter to the editor of the News & Record, Rhino Times, YES Weekly, Carolina Peacemaker and other local publications.
