Good News for Our Library

Last night (2/7/2012) City Council approved the issuance of the bonds that include the Northeast (Lake Jeanette) Library.  I want to thank everyone who was able to attend.  I thought that it was a very impressive turnout which speaks loudly and clearly about the support of this new library.  I would like to extend a special thank you to Loy Newby, our Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees; Dan Acker, Lake Jeanette Advocacy Chair; Sandra Cramer, library volunteer and longtime advocate for this project; Lin Cheney, longtime member of the Advisory Committee and Willie Taylor our Library Advocacy Chair. ...  You made a strong case for public libraries and their importance in the community.

I know that the most important question that you would like answered is: when do we actually start up the project again.  I hope to be back in touch within the next several days to answer that question.  Again, thanks for your work, patience, enthusiasm and willingness to stay the course.  I’ll follow-up as soon as I have news.
